Brief Description: Engine removal prior to painting fuselage
The first order of the day today was to remove the freshly painted right wing from the paint booth, remove all the masking and return it to the storage cradle in the basement. Once that was carried out we disconnected all the engine connections to the fiewall and removed the engine from the firewall so that we can install the firewall recess, the carburetor mxiture control firewall shield, the carburetor heat control firewall shield and do the firewall sealant. Also with the engine installed the fuselage would not fit in the paint booth so we had to remove it for that reason also. Once we had the engine removed we fabricated a temporary storage dolley for it.
